Trial limits and retention policy
Updated November 2, 2026
Your free trial includes the full item, photo and document allowances of the plan you choose. No credit card is required and no automatic charge is made. Features marked as planned on the pricing page are not yet available.
Plan allowances
Starter
100 items, with up to 6 photos and 3 documents per item. No separate storage cap.
Plus
500 items, with up to 12 photos and 6 documents per item. No separate storage cap.
Premier
Unlimited items, within 25 GB of total storage and up to 30 photos and documents combined per item.
Each file can be up to 20 MB. Archived items count toward your item allowance, and their photos and documents continue to use storage. Allowances are shared across your trial-owned workspaces. AI assistance has a separate $1 trial usage allowance; photo and document allowances do not provide unlimited AI usage.
When the trial ends
Trials last 30 days. While checkout is being prepared, expiration and automatic deletion are paused. Early trial accounts receive at least 30 days after billing opens. Your signed-in trial notice shows the current pause status or applicable expiration date. Existing accounts keep their current access.
Once expiration is enabled, an unpaid expired trial becomes read-only: you can view, export or delete your records, but cannot continue adding or editing items. Public sharing is paused. A paid subscription will let you continue using your collection when checkout is available.
Retention and permanent deletion
Once automatic deletion is enabled, your trial-owned workspaces, items, photos and documents are scheduled for permanent deletion 90 days after trial expiry. Deletion cannot be undone. Export the records and attachments you want to keep from Items → Export Items before the deletion date. Workspaces owned by other people are not deleted.
We schedule reminders before trial expiry and advance deletion warnings, including 30-day and 7-day deletion reminders. In-site reminders also show your status. Check your account email and trial notice; email delivery is not guaranteed. The deletion process waits for a recorded final-warning delivery before proceeding. Limited internal identity and trial-use records remain to preserve shared activity history and prevent repeat free trials. Backup copies follow the backup retention schedule rather than disappearing immediately.
Account emails and optional tips
Welcome, expiration and deletion notices are account emails. The optional tips checkbox currently enables a trial-help email about organizing your collection. A recurring newsletter is not yet offered. You can turn optional tips off at any time using “Email me collection tips” in your signed-in trial notice. Turning tips off does not stop important account notices.
