Terms of Service

Effective and updated November 3, 2026 · Version 2026-11-03

Operator and scope

Collector Showplace is operated by Cathy Shapiro in Tennessee, United States. Contact [email protected] for service questions, complaints or assistance. These terms describe use of our collection-management service and public collection websites. Our Privacy policy describes information handling, and the Trial policy explains current allowances and retention.

Accounts and access

Provide accurate account information and protect your email and sign-in provider accounts. Notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You must have authority to act for any organization you represent. Respect workspace permissions and do not share accounts to evade limits or access another person’s private information.

Collection tools and your content

We provide tools to catalog, organize, import, export and optionally publish collection information. We do not store, insure, authenticate or appraise your physical objects. Planned features are not promises of current availability. Marketplace sales will require additional terms before launch.

You retain your rights in content you upload. You permit us to host, process, resize, back up and transmit it as needed to provide and secure the service, including displaying content you choose to publish and processing information when you request AI assistance. This does not transfer ownership of your collection to us.

Upload only material you have rights to use, including auction photographs and documents about other people. Import tools do not grant copyright permission. Review what you publish: public material may be copied, and removing it cannot recall independent copies.

Trials, plans and billing

The current free trial lasts 30 days with the selected plan’s allowances. No payment card is required and creating a trial does not authorize a charge. Trial expiration and automatic deletion are paused while real billing is prepared. See the Trial policy and your account’s status for details. Archived items count toward allowances and use storage; AI has separate usage limits.

Real subscription charges are currently disabled. Stripe sandbox transactions are tests. Before real paid subscriptions open, checkout will disclose the price, billing interval, applicable taxes, renewal terms and cancellation method, and request the necessary authorization. An annual price means payment for the year, even when a monthly equivalent is displayed.

Price and service changes

We may change prices for new purchases. For an existing paid subscription, a price increase would apply to a future renewal, not retrospectively to the prepaid period. We will give advance notice of the new price, effective date and cancellation options, comply with applicable notice requirements and obtain additional consent where required. A change will not be applied to a renewal if required notice or consent has not been completed.

We will explain material changes to paid allowances before they take effect and provide any choices or remedies required by law. A change in limits alone will not cause immediate deletion of existing records.

AI and third-party information

AI and imported information may be incorrect or incomplete. Review proposed changes before relying on them. Suggestions do not establish authenticity, attribution, provenance, legality, condition, ownership or value, and are not professional appraisal, legal, tax or investment advice. External websites and provider services may change or become unavailable. Do not submit secrets or unnecessary sensitive information to assistance tools.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful conduct, infringement, deceptive listings, harassment, malware, unauthorized access, abusive automation or bypassing security and usage limits. We may restrict access proportionately to investigate abuse, protect users or comply with law. Where appropriate and safe, we will explain and provide a way to contact us. Report suspected infringement or unlawful content to [email protected] with enough detail to identify the material and concern.

Exports, deletion and availability

Keep independent copies of important records and original files. We operate backups, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or recovery of every version. Archiving retains an item; permanent deletion initiates removal of its records and attachments. Account deletion can be requested using the Data deletion instructions. Shared records, legal obligations and backups can affect what remains; the Privacy policy explains those limits.

When trial expiration and deletion are enabled, the published Trial policy and required notices will govern the transition. Workspaces owned by other people are not deleted merely because your trial ends.

Your rights and updates

Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Refunds, withdrawal rights and other statutory remedies remain subject to applicable law. We will publish dated updates and provide additional notice or seek agreement where legally required. Contact [email protected] with questions or complaints.
